Barb Jungr’s Christmas Cabootswith Sarah Travis on piano
Come on a journey through Christmas in its many baubles and tinsel-d wonderfulness with cabaret legend and Crazy Coqs darling Barb Jungr with seasonal favourites old and new. From the sacred to the profane, the holly to the ivy, the glorious to the potentially peculiar, Barb Jungr and Tony Award winning arranger/pianist Sarah Travis will take you on a festive musical sleigh ride like no other. Barb said “If Bob Dylan can happily sing Christmas songs then so can I!” So expect a Dylan-esque surprise or two, though she’s finding it a bit tougher finding any in Leonard Cohen’s songbook. But Joni Mitchell’s River will nestle alongside some originals and some absolute Christmas classics.
“On stage she’s a lioness” Sydney MorningHerald
“A true musical alchemist, she is truly a marvel who should not be missed.” The Telegraph
“One of the world’s great cabaret singers, a genuine original.” Time Out New York
“I’ve long thought Barb Jungr is one of our very finest cabaret singers.” Mark Shenton
