Bar Game Olympics - Winter Edition

The Axe & Ale House Bar Game Olympics is a competitive, team-based tournament featuring 9 classic and custom bar games. Teams will battle for prizes, bragging rights, and bar game glory.

Entry Fee:

• $25 per person or
• $50 per team

Team Size: 2 players per team
Team Limit: Maximum 20 teams (first come, first served)

• Entry into all 9 competition events
• One (1) beverage ticket per competitor
• Eligibility to win $15–$20 in prizes per event
• Chance to earn up to $150 bonus for overall champion

• $15–$20 prize per event (cash, gift cards, merch, or house prizes)

• Highest total score across all events
• Up to $150 cash bonus (depends on total participants)

• Each competition will have a clearly defined scoring method
• Event scoring is based on the total number of teams participating
• The overall winner is determined by the highest cumulative score across all events

• Event Tie:
  Tied teams will immediately compete in an additional round of that event.
• Overall Tie:
  Tied teams will compete in a sudden-death Axe Throwing round to determine the champion.

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

• Each competitor may play one practice round of each game
• No practice attempts permitted after competition begins

• All competitors must be checked in by 1:15 PM

• Games begin promptly at 1:30 PM

• Each teammate plays one $1.00 Trek (Moose) with bonus
• Scores are combined for team total
• Highest total score wins

• Both teammates start with cups upside-down on the table
• Timer starts on official signal
• Cups must be flipped so the bottom rests flat on the table
• Time stops when both cups are successfully flipped
• Fastest time wins

• Each teammate holds a 32oz stein filled with water
• Stein must remain above the minimum fill line
• If water spills or either stein is lowered below 90 degrees, time stops.
• Longest combined time wins

• Each player throws 6 darts
• Team scores are combined
• Highest team score wins

• Each player completes one full $0.50 arcade game
• Scores are combined for team total
• Highest combined score wins

• Each competitor throws one full round
• Standard house axe only
• Scores are combined for team total
• Highest total score wins

• Each competitor slides the “rock” across the bar top
• Scoring:
• Blue Line = 2 points
• Red Line = 3 points
• Green Line = 5 points
• Hitting the back wall = 0 points for that throw
• Highest total team score wins

• Classic bar game of bouncing a quarter into a shot glass
• Time starts when the official says “Go”
• Time stops when both teammates successfully bounce the quarter into the glass
• Fastest combined team time wins

• Ages 16+ to compete
• Alcohol consumption not required
• Spectators encouraged to attend
• Axe & Ale House reserves the right to adjust rules for safety, fairness, or timing
