In recognition of banned books week, we are teaming up with Falcons Against Fascism to host a Banned Books open mic night and fundraiser for FAF. Our goal is to help raise awareness about the increasing threat of censorship, not only by bringing light to why books are often targeted, but also by highlighting why these are books worth reading.
We are inviting community members to bring an impactful quote or two from a banned book(s) of your choosing that you would like to read aloud for the group.
The store will be open for browsing during the event and 20% of all sales made in that time will go straight back to FAF.
