Join us for a free film screening of the Golden Globe nominated Persepolis for Banned Books Week. The film is based on Marjane Satrapi’s graphic novel of the same name about “her life in pre and post-revolutionary Iran and then in Europe. The film traces Satrapi's growth from child to rebellious, punk-loving teenager in Iran.” Her book received multiple challenges across the US and was #40 on the American Library Association’s “Top 100 Most Frequently Challenged Books” of the 2010’s. Film screening will take place in Room 1140 of the J. Willard Marriott Library.
