We want to let you in on our little secret... The Study at Morrison House is filling its shelves —and cocktail menu—with banned books. As a haven for storytelling, we're celebrating the power of literature in all its forms while supporting local libraries. We've curated a unique selection of drinks inspired by some of the most beloved—and banned—books in the U.S. But you'll have to stop by to discover which ones made the list.
For every cocktail, we'll donate $1 to the Virginia Library Association, helping support local libraries and librarians.
Our Banned Book Speakeasy will conclude on Sunday, April 27th with the Old Town Book Fair: Adult Edition at Morrison House. Explore an array of book-themed items, from quirky bookmarks and literary-inspired art to cozy bookish apparel and unique collectibles with over 15 carefully curated vendors.
We will be selling books from our Banned Book library collection during the book fair and donating 50% of our book sales to the Virginia Library Association.
