Dr. Music presents a night of fun with Bankhead Boys, Reconciler and Droves live at Johnny Mac's Venue 505 Fairhope Ave. Saturday August 23 is it, 7-10pm is when. The show is just $12; heck you'll have enough money left over to buy a bbq sandwich from Fairhope Smoke Shack plus a few beers. Even better, we give all the proceeds to the bands so that they can make another monthly payment on their private jets.Johnny Mac's is an old gas station converted into a coffee shop, live music venue and a BBQ restaurant. Our PA system is very capable and our stage has seen quite an amazing host of punk rock, metal, jazz, folk, rock and blues bands. Secretly, we believe that most bands play their best in our venue - we take care of our bands and we are welcoming and grateful to the fans that attend. Wanna see some real, agressive, loud rock n punk? This is the show for you; let us be your friend for the evening.
Atlanta based, Reconciler, has toured extensively across the country, played SXSW and is heading to The Fest in Gainsville, FL soon. This 3 piece makes a lot of sound, good too.
Bankhead Boys defy description with their 70s NYC Bowery punk influence mixed with soda-shop doowop and killer sing-a-long choruses; see what we did there? We've hosted them 3 times before and can't help but want them to play our venue every weekend.
Birmingham's Droves are making their first venture to the Gulf Coast, except when they snuck down to the beach as teens. They rawk hard.
Really, how will you know that you're alive if you don't come to this show?
