The eagerly anticipated Bangers & Fizz Charity Quiz, hosted by The Lincolnite & Ringrose Law, is taking place on Friday, May 17, at The Assembly Rooms on Bailgate. The evening will commence at 6pm with a drinks reception, followed by a delightful two-course meal at 7pm (featuring gourmet sausages and mash, vegetables, and a decadent dessert, with a vegetarian option available). After the quiz, attendees will be treated to engaging live music from Solution2Soul to conclude the night.
Last year's event, the fourth annual quiz night, successfully raised £2,000 for the United Lincolnshire Hospitals charity. The event drew more than 150 participants who enjoyed the fast-paced quiz at The Drill in Lincoln, accompanied by fizz and a hearty meal.
This year, the proceeds will go to DevelopmentPlus, a Lincolnshire-based organisation committed to helping individuals face challenges with a focus on thriving, not just surviving. DevelopmentPlus provides personalised coaching, mentoring, and advocacy, as well as creative, peer-led group activities. Annually, their four main projects impact over 500 beneficiaries, supported by a dedicated team aimed at fostering significant and positive change in diverse communities.
Tickets are priced at £37.50 per person. Early booking is recommended due to last year’s event selling out quickly.
The quiz will include a variety of rounds such as music, local knowledge, current affairs, and sport, all facilitated through an app that adds a modern twist to the traditional quiz format hosted by Lincoln's famous quizmaster, Ronnie Byrne.
