Bad Hammer

Berlin’s Bad Hammer arrived fully formed in the Neukölln DIY scene in summer 2017 with “Forever”, a self-released statement that captured heartache in a vibe akin to a drunken roller coaster ride. April 2019 brought with it the "Extended Play” EP (Doom Chakra Tapes / Italian Island), an ethereal, atmospheric, and lush collection of “shadow pop epics“ (The Sun Lounge).

The duo toured extensively throughout Europe in 2018 and 2019, including a run of shows opening for D.I.Y phenom Molly Nilsson, as well as playing one off supports for like-minded artists including Sean Nicholas Savage, Joan as Policewoman, Anemone and more. Media support has come via features and appearances in Subbacultcha Magazine, Red Light Radio, arte tracks, Byte FM and beyond.

In spring 2020 Bad Hammer pulled out all the stops to accompany the release of their single “Mystified”, including commissioned remixes from contemporaries Giraffi Dog, Chikiss and Sami Toroi, alongside a slickly produced music video and - wait for it - a specially developed perfume.

Grief Scene

Grief Scene are a three-piece indie rock band based in Berlin. They write loud, heartfelt songs about love, friendship and climate anxiety. Formed in 2020 by Ian Tilling (Trapped Mice, Leoprrrds), the band started as a solo project which saw the release of debut album Bad Times in November 2020. He was soon joined by drummer Brandon Walsh, who in turn invited his friend and bandmate Sally Brown to contribute bass and vocals. This intense musical partnership, forged on stage with Berlin bands Gurr and Plattenbau, proved the perfect foil to Tilling's breathless guitar, while Brown's soaring vocal harmonies can be heard to spine-tingling effect on full-band debut single 'R U Still in 2 It'.
