Cassie's Bio:
Cassie is the co-host of the podcast National Park After Dark and a storyteller with a deep love for the outdoors. She made Vermont her home in 2021 after purchasing a house there with her husband and their two dogs. When she is not recording, Cassie can usually be found snowboarding, hiking, or planning her next adventure.
She has visited all 50 U.S. states and traveled to six of the world’s seven continents. Cassie’s work blends history with immersive, often dark storytelling rooted in wild places. She believes that even unsettling stories can draw people closer to the outdoors, helping people of all backgrounds form deeper connections to the landscapes around them. Through storytelling, Cassie aims to inspire conservation, encourage better preparedness in the backcountry, and foster a stronger sense of responsibility as stewards of the natural world. An avid reader and solo hiker, she is also passionate about educating and empowering women to feel confident and capable in the outdoors.
Danielle's Bio:
Growing up in New England and surrounded by the New Hampshire wilderness, Danielle always possessed a love and affinity for the outdoors. In 2011, a family vacation to Yellowstone and a fateful visit to the book section of the visitor center turned out to be the seed that eventually grew into National Park After Dark.
Never one to shy away from the dark side, her favorite stories to share center around historical tales that make us cringe yet leave us wanting more. A firm believer in standing by your interests and keeping an open mind, no matter how “strange,” she is an unwavering believer in the paranormal, extraterrestrial life, and Bigfoot.
Wildlife conservation and animal advocacy have driven her professional life. By working as a wolf advocate, veterinary nurse, and now, by sharing stories of our most treasured natural landscapes, she hopes to spread the importance of conserving wild places and the beings we share them with.
