Get off the beaten path and explore the edge of believable with some of the best films from the 2024 Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival as it brings these captivating and
moving stories to the big screen.
Stand on the highest peaks, ski the steepest slopes and be a part of the adventures in this year’s World Tour.
The selected films will be divided into two distinct programs with a weekend pass or single evening tickets being available.
Hosting the World Tour is one of Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook’s biggest fundraisers each year. A portion of the proceeds help us run our education, conservation, and regeneration initiatives throughout the year in the communities.

Things to know:
- Film advisory: all films are appropriate for a General Audience, though there is some coarse language
- There will be a prize giveaway during intermission
- The films run until approximately 10:30 pm each night but do depend on the film line-ups
Tickets are priced as follows:
- $30 for 1 night
- $50 for 2 nights
- There is no youth rate available

About the Banff World Tour:
The World Tour was born from the Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival which began in Banff, Alberta.
In 1976 a tight-knit group of climbers and outdoor enthusiasts conceived The Banff Festival of Mountaineering Films; it was a one-day gathering that became the renowned international Festival it is today.
Over 30 years ago, an outreach program was created to bring the Festival to other communities. This has become known as the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour. Like the first festival in Banff, the tour began small — three cities across Canada. It now reaches over 40 countries and brings mountain films to an audience of over 550,000 worldwide in 600 locations.
