Band saw boxes are boxes made out of wood using only a bandsaw for cutting them out. You will start with a laminated block of wood and have a selection of various of shapes to choose from. Whereas most boxes have straight sides and square corners, band saw boxes have virtually no restrictions as to shape. In this class you will learn the basics of creating a bandsaw box by making a simple shape with a drawer. The concepts you will learn in class can be used to create any number of shapes and designs in the future. This is a comprehensive 7 hour class with a 30 minute lunch break. All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
