The Mercer University Wind Ensemble's Bands at the Grand Honor Band Festival concludes with the Middle and High School Honor Band concert on Saturday, February 28th. Top middle and high school students auditioned and traveled from around the state to participate in this 3-day festival filled with masterclasses, performances, and community building.Dr. MJ Robinson, director of bands at Pierre Moran Middle School and assistant band director at Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Indiana, will be the guest conductor for the Middle School Honor Band.
Dr. Ben Blasko, the director of bands at Bethel University, and is the conductor of the wind ensemble at the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts, will be the guest conductor for the High School Honor Band.
Come out to watch the next generation of wind ensemble musicians at the Piedmont Grand Opera House! This concert is free and open to the public.
