Ages 14 to 17 requires a parent or guardian present during the class. Looking for that perfect, one-of-a-kind gift? Why not give the “Gift of Experience”? Our classes and workshops are the perfect “unique” alternative to a material gift or “stuff” for any occasion! The bandsaw is one of the most versatile machines in the shop. We will begin at “step 1” with band saw setup and tune-up. Wheel alignment, blade selection, blade installation, cool blocks vs bearing guides and fine tuning will all be covered. Each student will do a setup and then cut a perfect veneer. DON’T UNDERESTIMATE THIS CLASS! It is a MUST-TAKE for anyone – beginner or old-timer that uses this great machine. All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
