Come raise a glass to Band Pro’s 40th year serving the film industry at our annual One World Open House on Thursday, December 12 from 1:00-8:00PM.
Award-winning cinematographer Alice Brooks ASC will be our Guest of Honor this year. Celebrated for her work on IN THE HEIGHTS (2021) and tick, tick… BOOM! (2021), Alice will arrive fresh off the release of the film adaption of the Broadway hit WICKED.
Over thirty vendors will be on-site to showcase and demo gear including: 16x9, AJA, Angénieux, Anton/Bauer, Aputure, Blackmagic Design, Bright Tangerine, Canare, Canon, Cartoni, Chrosziel, Core SWX, DLL Finance, DZOFILM, FUJINON, LAOWA, Lindsey Optics, Litepanels, NiSi, Oconnor, Octamas Gear, Orca Bags, PEAC Solutions, Prêt À Tourner, Ronford-Baker, Rosco, Sachtler, Sigma, SmallHD, Sony, Teradek, Tiffen, Western Equipment Finance, Wooden Camera, and Zeiss.

Alice Brooks, ASC is a cinematographer who has photographed award-winning feature films, television shows and commercials. Her upcoming feature project is Universal’s highly anticipated adaption of the hit musical WICKED, directed by Jon M. Chu and produced by Marc Platt. WICKED and WICKED PART TWO will be released November 2024 and November 2025 respectively.
Brooks previously shot tick tick…BOOM! for Netflix and Imagine Entertainment, directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda and produced by Ron Howard. Other work includes Miranda’s IN THE HEIGHTS for Warner Bros., which was directed by her frequent collabotator Chu. Both films’ cinematography received widespread critical acclaim.
Brooks is known for her dynamic visual storytelling and her ability to capture emotionally resonant moments with a keen eye for detail.
Her journey into filmmaking began at a young age, inspired by her childhood experiences as an actor on commercial film sets. Her fascination with camera work led her to the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where she honed her craft. Drawing inspiration from art, music, dance, and the cinematography of the greats, Alice has developed a distinctive style that sets her apart in the industry. As a cinematographer, Alice continues to push the boundaries of visual storytelling, bringing her unique perspective and expertise to every project she undertakes.
Brooks is a member of the prestigious American Society of Cinematographers. In 2022, she received the Hollywood Critics Association’s “Artisan on the Rise” award.
