* 3 HR per game, then an out. No DHH. May purchase 2 additional HR for $10 each or $50 for 2 additional HR the entire tournament.
* Prizes will be based on number of teams and will be communicated the week of the tournament.
* Must use bats with USSSA stamp. In the event of a batted ball injury, we reserve the right to examine and withhold the bat in question for the remainder of the tournament.
* Standard One Nation rules will be used with exception of rules listed within here.
Banana Ball Rules:
1. Win the inning, get a point. Every inning is worth one point, the team with the most runs in an inning gets the point. In the final inning, every run counts!
2. 60-Minute time limit. No new inning will start after 50 minutes.
3. No stepping out. If the batter steps out of the box, it's a strike and can result in a strikeout. Does not apply to a foul ball.
4. Batters can steal first base. They can attempt to steal at any time. If runners are on base, they must advance as well. Runners on base may only steal if the batter attempts to steal 1st base.
5. No walks allowed. If the pitcher throws 3 balls, it becomes a sprint. The batter will take off running while every defensive player on the field must touch the ball before it becomes live. The hitter can advance to as many bases as they want. The ball does not have to touch the catcher or pitcher.
6. If a fan catches a foul ball, it's an out!
7. Showdown Tiebreaker. If the game is tied at time limit or after 7 innings, the game will go into a showdown tiebreaker. In each showdown, the hitter must score. If they score it's one point, if they don't it's the end of their half of the round. If both teams score or both teams fail to score, the showdown advances to the next round.
Round 1: Pitcher, catcher and one fielder versus 1 hitter
Round 2: Pitcher and catcher versus 1 hitter
Round 3+: Pitcher, catcher and one fielder vs 1 hitter with bases loaded. Every run scored counts as 1 point.
* Same batting order must be followed in Showdown, defensive changes may be made. In Round 3+, last out on 1st, 2nd to last out on 2nd and 3rd to last out on 3rd. Pinch hitters and/or runners may not be used in Showdown.
* Any HR over the fence during a showdown is an immediate walkoff win regardless of home/away.
* If the pitcher throws 4 balls (not 3) during the showdown, a point will automatically be awarded in round 1 and 2 and 4 points will be awarded in round 3+.
8. Golden Batter Rule. A team may insert ANYBODY (a player on another team, a fan, etc.) in to bat at any point (except showdown) one time per game.
Proceeds to benefit OutKast Men's Softball.
