A 2 day practical training for qualified massage therapists in the art of using warmed bamboo sticks to deliver a deep and therapeutic massage treatment.This is an advanced massage certified training for already qualified massage therapsits.
It takes place over 2 days, and costs £200.
Warm bamboo massage is essentially deep tissue massage with the use of warm bamboo sticks to replace the therapists arms and hands.
Using the sticks as tools saves the therapists hands and joints, whilst enabling the therapist to accurately deliver deep pressure techniques to areas of tightness in the fascia and muscle groups of the body.
The different lengths and thickness of the sticks enable effective access to different sets of muscles in the body so that all areas can be treated efficiently.
The extra bonus of the sticks being warm means the the muscles being worked on are given 'thermotherapy' in that the warmth of the bamboo allows the skin to heat up and absorb the moisturising and therapeutic oils as well as prepare the musculature of the body for a deeper treatment.
The benefits of thermotherapy can be seen in increased circulation, improved blood flow and greater ability to transport fresh oxygenated blood to and toxin and waste products from the area. This also all means that the therapist can work deeper into areas of tightness and tension efficiently and without exerting too much energy.
Other benefits of bamboo massage include improving joint stiffness and lymph drainage, improving mental clarity and sleep quality and releasing endorphins. It can also stimulate the rest and digest parasympathetic nervous system response, which can lead to stress reduction and improved well being.This is a 2 day practical training for those who are already trained in Body Massage and have at least 6 months experience.
Bamboo massage gives a deep and warming massage, suitable for experienced therapists and clients wishing to benefit from both the warmth of the sticks and the depth of the treatment.
This course comes with certification from Shanticentre Training School and a full manual with routine on completion.
