Join us for a powerful tribute to the 1989 Baltic Way, when over two million people from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia formed a 419-mile human chain across their countries—turning their backs to the East and facing West in a peaceful call for freedom. To honor the 36th anniversary, the Chicago Lithuanian Running Club is organizing a 36-mile relay run connecting key cultural landmarks of the three Baltic communities in the Chicago area.
🗺️ Route Highlights:
- Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church
- Lithuanian Youth Center
- Baltic Unit – National Guard Abroad
- Latvian Cultural Center (arrival ~10:30 AM)
- Estonian House (final stop ~2:00 PM)
🎉 All runners will finish together at the Estonian House, where we invite everyone from the Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian communities to join us in celebration.
📬 More details will be shared directly with participants.
Let’s run in unity, remembrance, and pride—just as our nations did 36 years ago.
