In my Ballroom Dance Classes for Beginners, you will learn the basic steps and techniques of both Standard Ballroom and Latin Ballroom dance styles. The classes are great fun and taught in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Classes will be held in Anya's Hall, Claremont Project, near Angel Station.
This course is perfect for those with little or no ballroom dance experience, interested in learning the basics of a variety of styles and gaining the ability to socially dance each of them.
BALLROOM DANCE BEGINNERS COURSE CONTENT
In this course you will:
• Learn basics of a selection of Standard Ballroom Dances (Waltz, Tango and Foxtrot)
• Learn basics of a selection of Latin Ballroom Dances (Cha Cha, Rumba and Jive)
• Learn the techniques of leading and following
• Have the opportunity to dance with a variety of partners in a social atmosphere
Upon completion of this Beginners course, you will have learnt sequences of dances in 6 styles that you can utilise on night outs, weddings and other social events, including my regular ballroom socials and performance evenings which I’ll tell you more about during the course. This will provide you with a rich learning experience. You will also be ready to begin learning more Standard and Latin syllabus routines in my Improvers level classes and have the opportunity to join my ballroom performance group that performs regularly at my ballroom social events.
No partner is required to join the course.
