📣 Join us for a hybrid Ballpark Community Council meeting on Thursday, January 8th at 7 PM, focused on one issue only: a proposed rezone for Housing Authority–owned properties near Jefferson Street and West Temple.This is a proposed zoning change, not a building design review. No site plans or layouts have been submitted yet.
What we know so far:
• Proposed rezone to Mixed Use 5 (MU-5)
• ~200–250 housing units anticipated
• 15% of the units will rent at 80% AMI (moderate-income housing)
• Existing affordable family housing on site would be replaced
• Proposal goes before the Planning Commission on Jan 28
Zoning can be a dense topic, but it sets the framework for what can happen long before buildings are proposed — shaping how our neighborhood grows over time.
