Are you looking to improve your posture, form, foot articulation, or frame? Why not try "Ballet Basics"? In this new class, Nicole Yvonne teaches the fundamentals of ballet, including the "how" and "why" behind the movements and positions!
Nicole Yvonne is a musically inclined performing and visual artist, with a passion for dance as a mode of expression and healing. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dance Performance and Education and a Master’s degree in Education.
Classically trained in the Cecchetti and Vaganova methods of ballet, Nicole has also studied dance pedagogy, Labanotation, and kinesthetics. She has teaching experience in dance studios, as well as K–12 charter and magnet schools, where she's taught ballet, ballroom, modern dance, and choreographic literacy. Nicole has also served as a Teaching Artist with the renowned Dance Theatre of Harlem.
As a Certified NASM Stretching & Flexibility Coach, Nicole integrates science-based techniques with artistic practice to help support physical wellness and performance longevity. At N.Y. Rtistry Dance & Wellness, she offers private ballet instruction for adults and children, as well as one-on-one Therapeutic Stretch sessions. Propelled by the fact that, "[she loves] the art of movement and the science behind it," Nicole gratefully continues to enrich the lives of her students and clients through education, artistry, and wellness.
