To celebrate Black History Month and National Libraries Week, Hackney Libraries present Venessa Taylor, author of the Baller Boys series. These football-themed stories are written with young readers in mind.
Born and raised in London, Venessa continues her legacy and passion as a literacy leader through her creative writing. Venessa’s book "Baller Boys" was voted The Best Children’s Book for The People’s Book Prize 2021.
Join Venessa for a fun and interactive session. If you feel inspired to play football, Footballs can be borrowed from Shoreditch Library with your library card. We are an official Weareakuk Football Library thanks to support from @weareakuk @Sport_England
