The ho-ho-ho-Holidays in Ballard will be more festive this year with the expansion of Ballard HolidayFest on Saturday, December 6.The Ballard Alliance has reimagined this free community event with the addition of a market, extended hours and more family-friendly activities. The new HolidayFest & Market footprint includes free pictures with Santa (2-5 p.m.), live music, treats, hot cider, Tomte Trail Passport drop-off bin, fire pit with S'mores station and merriment in Marvin’s Garden Park and Ballard Ave NW.
From 2 – 8 p.m., on the north side of Ballard Avenue, we are turning that stretch into a winter wonderland, filled with a market featuring Ballard businesses, food specials from our restaurant partners, a tomte toss activity, music, and a community fire pit with a free s’mores making station.
Free pictures with Santa has become a time-honored tradition for many Ballard families. Please bring your family, friends and well-behaved furbabies to Marvin’s Garden Park from 2 – 4:30 p.m. Santa must fly back to the North Pole at 5 p.m., so make sure you are in the line to take pictures no later than 4:30 p.m.
