🍷 Különleges alternatíva Valentin-napra!Tudtad, hogy február 14. nem csak a Valentin-napé? Ez a nap egy másik izgalmas hagyomány ünnepe is: Szent Trifun, a szőlészet és borászat védőszentjének napja! A Balkánon évszázadok óta ezen a napon kezdődik a szőlőmetszés, amit természetesen borkóstolás és ünneplés követ.
A Balkan Heritage szalonestje a pesti kávéházak eleganciáját ötvözi vibráló balkáni energiával. A vendéglátás művészetét képviseli majd a bor, a török kávé és a rakija, ám az eseményen helyet kap majd a lokális zenei és filmes kultúra is.
Fun fact: a Valentin-nap a 18. századi brit hagyományokból indult, Szent Trifun ünnepe viszont ennél jóval régebbi. Az ortodox kultúrákban, például Macedóniában, Szerbiában, Bulgáriában és Montenegróban a bor és a szőlő ünnepeként tartják számon a mai napig. A múltban a kultusz széles körben elterjedt Görögországban, az Adriai-tenger partján, Velencében és Olaszország más helyein, sőt Oroszországban is. Egyes helyeken, például Barin, még mindig ünneplik San Trifone-t. Az olasz emigránsok még az USA-ba is elvitték: a Los Angeles-i S.Pietro templomban áll San Trifone szobra.

Did you know that February 14 is not just about Valentine’s Day? It’s also the celebration of a fascinating tradition: St. Trifun’s Day, the feast of the patron saint of viticulture and winemaking! For centuries, this day has marked the beginning of grape pruning in the Balkans, followed, of course, by wine tasting and festive gatherings.
The Balkan Heritage Saloon combines the elegance of Budapest's classic coffeehouses with the vibrant energy of the Balkans. Guests will experience the art of hospitality through wine, Turkish coffee, and rakija, while also enjoying highlights of local music and film culture.
Fun fact: while Valentine’s Day originated in 18th-century British traditions, St. Trifun’s Day is much older. In Orthodox cultures, such as Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Montenegro, it remains a celebration of wine and vineyards. Historically, this tradition spread widely across Greece, the Adriatic coast, Venice, and other parts of Italy, and even to Russia. In some places, like Bari, San Trifone is still celebrated. Italian immigrants even brought it to the USA—San Trifone’s statue can be found in the S. Pietro Church in Los Angeles.
