Saturday, April 20th, Balkan Comedy Night comes to St.Louis for a one night only show featuring the funniest up and coming Balkan-American comedians. The night of comedy will feature performances from Arijana Ramic (Comedy Store), Lulu Jovovich (Amazon, Improv), Stanko Zovak (HRT), Ryan Radusinovic (Improv), George Dulcich (Improv) and Vic Gjonaj (Improv). Doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 9:00pm. Tickets will also be available at the door.
You don't have to be Balkan to enjoy this show, this show is for anyone curious about Balkan culture and humor.
Meet The Comedians:
Arijana Ramic is an award winning comedian from Seattle and has performed at festivals across the country and can be seen nightly at The Comedy Store. Arijana Ramic is a charming, but devious, standup comedian and writer originally from Seattle, WA. It's hard to tell who she hates more: herself or other people, as she sweetly navigates dark topics like growing up with Bosnian immigrant parents, identifying as Type A, and sadness, all with a smile on her face. Arijana has opened for the likes of Chris Redd, Jenny Zigrino, and Jesus Trejo. She has performed in competitions and festivals including The Seattle International Comedy Competition (2019), Madison Comedy Week (2021), and was among Best of the Fest at the Burbank Comedy Festival (2022).
Lulu Jovovich is a comedian born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Her stand up ranges between stories of her upbringing in an immigrant household, biting jokes about former flames, and cynical observations of human behavior. Lulu can be regularly seen performing at The Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Store and the Laugh Factory and stars in Amazon’s original series: Underdeveloped.
George Dulcich is a stand up comedian, born and raised in Los Angeles. He currently tours with national headliners Shapel Lacey, Jeff Dye and Brittany Schmitt. George’s silly and lighthearted comedic style blends elements of self-mockery, sibling dynamics, and the contrast between ambitious aspirations and the sometimes harsh realities of life. George has performed at major LA clubs such as The Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv and The Ice House.
Ryan Radusinovic is a Los Angeles-based comedian who has toured the country, opening for the likes of Carlos Mencia, Jerry Garcia, and Adam Hunter. Ryan's comedy is an unorthodox blend of Southern charm, immigrant sensibilities, scathing one-liners, and wildly accurate impersonations. He can be seen regularly across comedy clubs across the Southwest and heard weekly on Spotify as a member of the Grown Kids Podcast.
Stanko Zovak is a comedian, podcaster, and musician. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he moved to Croatia where he performed stand up comedy internationally for 3 years before returning to the States. He finds the funny in the cultural comparisons and unique experiences of living abroad.
Vic Gjonaj is a comedian from Los Angeles and the host of the Early Morning Podcast. Vic can be seen regularly at the Brea Improv and comedy clubs across Southern California. Vic's endless stories about his immigrant upbringing, unfortunate situations and wild events you’ll hate to love!
