What is Green Apple?
Green Apple is a resource for school district sustainability staff, school staff and administration, and community volunteers to make an existing annual service day greener, establish a new sustainable service day tradition or implement a one-off project for big impact.
This year, we’re bringing that impact to Ferris Spanger Elementary School in Roseville with a focus on creating a more inclusive and welcoming environment for students with special needs.

Project Focus
- Painting a vibrant mural and sensory walk
- Enhancements in the special needs area
- Installing an ornamental fence, nest swing, and flex ground for the playground
- Campus-wide beautification, planting, painting, building upgrades, and mulch spreading
