About this Event
We bring the best of the UK stand-up comedy circuit to the Balcarras School Theatre!
These fundraising gigs always SELL OUT. It’s first come, first served.
When tickets are gone, they’re gone. We’re a bit like LIDL that way and we do have a very enticing specials aisle.
For this bumper night of fantastic fun we bring you Alex Kealey, Esther Manito, James Ellis and all held together by MC Mr Mark Cram!
Alex Kealy
Alex Kealy is a stand-up comedian who mixes political material with self-deprecation and relatable observations. He reached the final of the prestigious 'So You Think You're Funny' competition in his first year of performing.
A “rising star of the British stand-up scene” (The List) & writer for Mock The Week, Alex Kealy combines silliness and politics to forge “perfectly expressed gags” (Chortle).
Esther Manito
An Arab Essex girl who will challenge every single preconception of what that means.
Esther has supported Alan Davies, Shappi Khorsandi, Sindhu Vee, Jason Mansford, Jo Brand and Al Murray. As seen on ITV's Stand Up Sketch Show and heard on: BBC sounds Russel Kane’s Evil Genius, co-hosting Radio 4 Extra's Newsjack Unplugged, CBBC Bitesize Parents, Drunk Women Solving Crime, Russell Kane’s Boys Don’t Cry and BBC New Comedy Awards.
“A comedian with keen instincts, and punchlines often delivered with a nice turn of phrase and a vivid metaphor.” Fest Mag
James Ellis
Award-winning comedian James Ellis is a rising star in the UK comedy scene.
His sharp observational humour and clever punchlines have won him raves reviews from audiences and critics alike.
James’ comedy is rooted in everyday life, and he has a knack for finding the funny in the mundane. A gifted write, his jokes are well-crafted and delivered with precision.‘James Ellis is a triple threat, he’s really very bloody funny, has a great stage presence and has the best hair in the business” Angela Barnes
Mr Mark Cram is quite the all-rounder; with both a killer set and strong MCing chops. For the last few years Mark has been plying his comedy trade across the UK. Constantly evolving, usually unpredictable; he is garnering positive reactions everywhere he goes.
Mark thrills crowds with his tales of dead-end jobs, his family and being the less than grateful winner of Bedford Comedian of the Year.
