Balance for the Mind: On and Off the MatJoin us on Thursday, October 10th for a special event in honor of Mental Health Awareness Day, focused on creating balance in all aspects of life—both on and off your yoga mat.
Mental health is about finding equilibrium in every area: professional, financial, family, community, spiritual, and physical well-being. During this event, we'll explore how cultivating balance supports our mental health and overall wellness.
We’ll begin with a gentle yoga session centered around physical balancing postures to relax the body and clear the mind. Afterward, we’ll spend time reflecting and building personalized strategies to bring more balance into our daily lives. No yoga experience is required—just bring your mat, water, and a pen or pencil.

Meet your instructor Valeri:
Valeri, a firm believer in the magic of yoga, understands its unique ability to meet each individual where they are without judgment. She believes that yoga offers valuable tools for individuals to not only feel better in their bodies but also gain greater alignment to their inner truth. Moreover, the sense of community and support found within the yoga community can be instrumental in fostering personal growth and friendship. Throughout her own yoga journey, Valeri has experienced the transformative benefits of the practice, which have evolved based on her personal needs at different stages of her life.
During a challenging life transition, Valeri found solace on her yoga mat. Following a back injury, she built strength by focusing on pelvic alignment and stabilization in her core. Valeri also learned the power of breath through her yoga practice. By incorporating breathwork into her daily routine, she was able to cultivate a greater sense of balance and mental clarity, enabling her to show up as a better friend, colleague, mother, and partner.
Valeri’s passion for helping others extends beyond her personal practice. Professionally, she is devoted to supporting others in their professional development and leadership endeavors. Recognizing the strong connection between personal and professional growth, she embarked on yoga teacher training.
In her yoga classes, Valeri aims to empower and uplift her students. With a focus on fundamentals, her classes provide a space for students to explore their bodies, quiet their minds, and embrace the present moment.
