About this Event
Do you have a 4th-12th grade student that loves to practice or show off their academic skills by playing games? Do you have a child that learns best thorugh play in an informal setting with friends? If so, Bakersfield Game Club (4th-12th) just might be a good fit for them.
During our meetings, there will be game stations where students can explore various types of games - boards, movement, cards, dice, paper & pencil, etc. All of the games will be focused on our month's theme. Some of our possible themes (or focus areas of study) are: writing, reading, basic math facts, geometry, life science, chemistry, physics, earth & space science, fine arts, geography, US history, and world history. For example, if our theme is writing games there might be stations for games like: Scrabble, Boggle, Story Cubes, Balderdash, Scattergories, writing round robins, etc.
This club will meet on Fridays at 1:00 on the following dates:

Completing this registration is the first step in joining this club. Final registration steps will be emailed to everyone who registers on Eventbrite.
Heartland clubs are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. Only students registered for the club will be able to attend.
