Join us in building Amelia's Playground at Poolesville Presbyterian Church in honor of Amelia Hobart.
Amelia, a cherished child of PPC, spent much of her girlhood racing across the church's playground, getting into all sorts of VBS shenanigans on summer evenings, and swinging skyward with joy and a grin. Vibrant, bright, and bold, she was deeply loved by her church family, admired by younger children and proudly watched over by those who saw her grow. Tragically, Amelia was killed in a car accident on November 29, 2024, at age 19.
Across the years, many children in the Poolesville community have played, shouted, and laughed on the PPC playground, but it is time to build something new — a place that reflects Amelia's energy, light, and playfulness. A place for everyone, big or small.
