About this Event
***This is a "buddy" class: one ticket covers you and a buddy working together to create tartlets. Each baker will get lots of hands-on practice!***
You'll feel so fancy serving a gorgeous appetizer made with your own puff pastry! The main "lesson" for this class is the 'rough puff' pastry, but if you're curious what kind of dish we'll make with it... for the June session, we will be using in season produce (think zucchini, etc!) to make puff pastry tartlets, but I want to wait and see what veggies are looking especially good once we get closer :)
In this class you'll:
- learn the secrets of making a simple (aka "rough) puff pastry from scratch and by hand
- roll out dough and practice layering techniques
- learn how temperature affects the pastry
- prepare your veggies to build a flavorful filling
- have fun with other awesome students learning & baking together
- learn pro tips you can apply to a variety of similar recipes
- take home your delicious, fresh-from-the-oven appetizers as well as the recipes for everything you made in class
- enjoy a guided tasting to learn the 5 steps to tasting like a pro!
"Intermediate level" really just means this is a faster paced class that some others; we'll absolutely explain the steps as we go, but assume attendees know their teaspoons from their tablespoons and are comfortable following multi-step instructions.

ABOUT MUDDY'S HANDS-ON BAKING CLASSES
Muddy's hands-on baking classes are in-depth AND fun! Class sizes are small so students have ample opportunity for guidance & questions. Your instructor will demonstrate every step of the recipe and be available as you try each step yourself. You will have your own work table and will complete the entire recipe... and of course, you'll leave with your goodies!
Who should participate? Anyone age 15+ who is looking to learn, wants to have fun, or just enjoys baking in company.
Are classes wheelchair accessible? Our tables are height-adjustable, so if you need special accommodations, just let us know ahead of time and we'll be sure to have the table and your spot all ready for you!
What about cancellations? Classes are small and space is limited, so all ticket sales are final. Please check the date/time carefully before booking. If you cannot make it to your class, you may gift your ticket to a friend. If Muddy's must cancel the event for any reason, we will inform you asap and fully refund your ticket.
