A short reprieve from your day to day life where people come together and make something yummy and have a blether.
About this Event

Bake & Blether is a session for people to come together in a safe environment in the community to bake and chat.

Our tutor Yvonne will guide you through some recipes for sweet and savory baked goods that you can enjoy along with a cuppa in the session or take away to enjoy at home. You'll learn new skills and recipes as well as having the chance to share hints, tips and recipes.

Whether you’re already an accomplished baker or have no previous baking experience, this session is open to all to attend.

The act of baking has many well-being benefits too such as helping to manage stress. By choosing what to bake and how you’ll make it, your creative journey has already begun. Whether you’re following recipes or improvising, using your hands to create and decorate is an artistic activity. Baking also engages all your senses including taste, touch, and smell, plus it’s fulfilling to see your process from beginning to end.

You can attend all 6 sessions or drop in as you please.

The dates for the sessions are on the following Wednesdays:
  • 21-08-24
  • 28-08-24
  • 04-09-24
  • 11-09-24
  • 18-09-24
  • 25-09-24

All sessions are 11:00am till 1:00pm at Lairg Community Centre in the Shin Suite.

Please bring along your own tupperware boxes for any leftovers you may have.
