Formed by Martin Cradick and Su Hart after a life-changing visit to the Baka rainforest in Cameroon Baka Beyond have toured the world with their uplifting dance-inducing sound. Expect African percussion rich harmonies and a joyful fusion of cultures that’ll have you on your feet all night.
Baka Beyond’s groundbreaking debut album Spirit of the Forest (1993) became an instant world music classic and the band has since toured across continents winning fans from Glastonbury to WOMAD and from Tokyo to Timbuktu. Yet they’ve stayed true to their roots – not only musically but in their ongoing commitment to support the Baka communities that inspired them.
