After editions featuring the likes of Deize Tigrona, MAJUR, MC Soffia, and MIMOSA, it’s time for another edition of Baile Sounds: the VK concert nights that celebrate the Afro-genres popular in Brazilian 🇧🇷 baile’s.
This edition’s headliner none other than THE queen of funk carioca Tati Quebra Barraco. One of the main pioneers of the genre, with over 20 years of a solid career, she is a critically acclaimed artist, with lyrics that promote female empowerment and freedom.
No celebration of baile culture would be complete without powerful DJ sets. Tati being an icon within LGBTQ+ and Black communities, Brussels-based AfroQueer platform Shoga Shoga has curated a line-up of Afro-Brazilian players of European queer nightlife : special guest SoundPreta and local up-and-comer FILAIPE.
