Celebrate the 51st anniversary of Bahamian Independence with The Curtis Foundaton and special guest the Honorable Curt. G. Hollingsworth, Consul General of the Bahamas, at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens! Let's come together to commemorate the independence of The Bahamas with an evening of Bahamian culture, music, and delicious food. This event is a great opportunity to connect with fellow Bahamians and friends of The Bahamas celebrating freedom and unity!

During the program and reception, 6 special awards will be presented:
- Dr. Nelson Adams will receive the E.W.F. Stirrup, Sr. Entrepreneurship and Community Development award
- Regina Jollivette Frazier, posthumously, will receive the M. Athalie Range Community Service award
- Dr. Enid Pinkney will receive the Congresswoman Fredrica S. Wilson Leadership and Political award
- Commissioner Barbara Jordan will receive the Garth Basil Coleridge Reeves, Sr. Philanthropic award
- Kim Johnson will receive the Enid C. Pinkney Historical Preservation award
- Dr. Michelle Dallas will receive the Friends of the Bahamas award
