Doug ‘DuGeB’ Buss, a Lexington Illinois native, resides in Bloomington. Known by many through karaoke, he loves sports - a strong supporter of the Illini, Steelers, Blues, and Cardinals.
Doug has unfortunately, had some health challenges. In true Doug fashion, he has been pushing through without asking for a lot of help. He has been on medical leave since November 20, 2023. Doug has had half of both feet amputated, and is now facing further amputation if immediate restoration of good circulation for proper healing, isn’t seen.
It likely goes without needing to be said, but this has caused a financial burden. As friends of Doug, we saw the need, and are hosting a benefit for him. His medical insurance covers a good portion of medical bills, but help with rent and regular living expenses is a big need.
