About this Event
On February 7, 1926, the origins of intentional Black History celebration was initiated by Dr. Carter G. Woodson, PhD. Over the course of a century, what began as a week-long concept celebrated by communities in the know, was increasingly expanded to include the entirety of February and promoted to the level of national recognition. BADA DC Regional will be hosting an event to celebrate the 100 year evolution of Black History Month.
*** Please note there will be a coinciding event in house presented at Busboys and Poets that same evening from 6:30PM - 8:30PM. This event is "Beyond Heroes and Holidays: Leading and Learning Together" which will feature a discussion of the book.***
