Bad Fortunes are back at the Dakota for a fall classic.
Hot off a summer of car shows & festivals the Bads are ready share new originals & deep dive into obscure frantic Rockabilly and seasonal themed rockers.
Opening the show, Los Speedos featuring members of the Calrizians stripped down & knocking out skin tight reverb drenched instro classics.
PLUS! Introducing from Hamilton DJ 45 Selector who recently kept the party rolling in Hamilton with the Ichi-Bons & 5,6,7,8s. He’ll be spinning 45RPM vinyl exclusively, included the best of Rockabilly, garage and soul.

BAD FORTUNES:
Crash the party with Toronto’s hottest rockin’ combo, Bad Fortunes. The rockabilly/roots 4-piece is big news in town.
Bad Fortunes’ lineup is stacked high with formidable talent from the local rockabilly scene and beyond, providing the group with a potent drive and well-honed chops to make the sparks fly.
Behind the mic, with frantic energy and playing the rhythm guitar like it’s on fire, is Heartbreak Mark (alumni of Wild Records outfit The Greasemarks). Steve Good (veteran of Tennessee Voodoo Coupe/Blue Mercury Coupe) keeps the rhythm steady and tight on doghouse bass. Standup drummer Donny DeKouchay (formerly with legendary Chris Spedding-produced hotshots The Razorbacks) provides the wild backbeat. And joining the T.O. boys, Hot Roddin’ Buffalo Steve (from south of the 49th parallel, and Blue Ribbon Bastards infamy) brings his sensational guitar skills onboard, adding another level of audio dynamite to the mix. The group’s set is laced with prime original cuts, while also delving deep into the rockin’ canon to cherry-pick some rare delights from artists such as Benny Joy, Crazy Cavan, and Joe Clay to thrill audiences.
Bad Fortunes are hyped to hit the stage and deliver their own brand of top-rockin’ mayhem!

LOS SPEEDOS:
Los Speedos are a Toronto based instrumental surf combo who’ve been thrilling & confusing audiences with their reverb drenched twang since 2018. Although they’ve only come together as Los Speedos 5 years ago, they’ve been playing surf music individually & in other bands since the beginning of time. A fan most eloquently described the Los Speedos experience by saying “This music… There are no words”.
