UK bassline collective Bad Boy Chiller Crew are bringing Bradford to the world with their distinct rave-ready dance music. A multi-faceted boy band, members Gareth “GK” Kelly, Kane Welsh and Sam “Clive” Robinson are each MCs, producers and comedians at once. The trio is a result of the antics of social media: online skits, pranks, and games laid the groundwork for the boys to find more fulfilment in their music, witty, self-referential blends of grime and hip house that, like the boys, never takes itself too seriously.
The prospects of Bad Boy Chiller Crew grows ever stronger with every year. With humble beginnings in West Yorkshire’s Bradford, the boys have since found themselves nominated for a Brit Award, and gracing national TV with their self-titled docuseries chronically the group’s rise to fame in all its grand chaos. 2022 saw the release of their third album Disrespectful, epitomising their work to date, an unrelenting 52 minutes of commitment to pure entertainment with very little left to imagination.
Taking Bradford to Australia is the next step in bringing it to the world. Bad Boy Chiller Crew’s live show is an avenue for escapism, humour and raving all at once, often during the same song. They are uncontainable and insatiable, the trio flying across the stage building endlessly from each other’s energy so that no room can truly hold them.
