Creativity & Community Combined!Overview:
Bad Art by Good People is a one-of-a-kind event where community leaders are partnered with local artists to collaborate, learn and create a finished work of art to be voted on and auctioned off. The event aims to show that anyone can create art, regardless of skill level, and to strengthen community bonds through the joy of making art together.
How it works:
Local artists have been matched with community leaders to guide them through collaborative art sessions over the course of one month. These sessions aim to teach community leaders the fundamentals in their chosen medium, and help them to create one finished work of art to be auctioned off to benefit the museum.
Important Dates:
-Tuesday, September 24 / 5-7pm
Artwork unveiling at our Free Museum After Hours. Public Voting begins.
-Wednesday, October 9 @ 6pm
Cocktail party & auction.
