About this Event
This is a special edition of our regular U.S. Constitution review series. We normally ask these questions about the Constitution:
- "How long has it been since we actually read it?"
- And when we do read it, "How much do we think about it?"
For this next session, to be held on July 9, we ask:
- "When is the last time we read the Declaration of Independence, and really thought about its words and their impact?"
We'll have some brief comments about the Declaration of Independence, and then break into small groups to discuss our own thoughts about it. This meeting will last exactly an hour so that we can fit it in our busy schedules.
Therefore, we encourage each of you to celebrate July 4 by reading the document that inspired the holiday: and then joining us on July 9th to discuss it together.
Or if you prefer, NPR has a tradition of reciting the Declaration on July 4. Check your local listings for times, or
