Calling all transmasculine kinksters and their guests! Do you want to attend a play party that centers YOU? Introducing: Backroom Bros., a transmasculine-centered play party.A party by transmasculine people for transmasculine people, where trans attendees are the focus–not an afterthought. We celebrate the diversity of trans bodies and the many ways of being trans, and explicitly affirm the identities of trans men as men. We aim to create a “men’s party” atmosphere that feels comfortable, safe, and welcoming to transmasculine attendees and their guests. We are firmly against the use of any fetishizing language or imagery within this event space.
Anyone who identifies as a trans man, trans guy, trans boy/boi, transmasculine, transmasc/trans masc, FTM, or masc-of-center is welcome to attend. Gender expansive people who self-identify with any of the aforementioned identities for the purposes of the party are welcome. Transmasculine attendees are limited to one (1) non-transmasculine guest. Guests must enter at the door with their attendee.
Your donations provide access to those who cannot otherwise afford a ticket. Free admission is available to any attendee who cannot otherwise afford a ticket, but must be arranged with hosts at least 24 hours in advance over email ([email protected]).
The party is staffed jointly by transmasculine hosts and transmasculine volunteers. Volunteer helpers will be admitted on a case-by-case basis after vetting. Interested in volunteering? Reach out to us at [email protected] for more information.
Your hosts are a group of trans men/transmasculine organizers from across the Bay Area. We each bring our own skillset, passions, and talents to this party. From the FTM Munch to TMK to SoMa bars and other trans- and queer-led organizations, we have years of experience with our boots on the ground.
