Jog Water Falls - Gerosoppa Falls - Joga Falls - Gersoppa Falls - Jogada Gundi - The superb gorgeousness of Jog Falls has reappeared in it full glory. One of the five highest waterfalls in the world is now attracting several lakh tourists and nature lovers from across the globe. Jog Falls, Gerosoppa Falls or Joga Falls is the second-highest plunge waterfall in India, Located in Sagara taluk, these segmented falls are a major tourist attraction. They are also called Gersoppa Falls and Jogada Gundi. It is located on the Shimoga and Uttara Kannada district border. Jog Falls , is a large waterfall 30 kilometers (19 mi) away, created by the Sharavathi River falling from a height of 253 meters (829 ft). There are many waterfalls in Asia - and also in India - which drop from a higher altitude. But, unlike those falls, Jog Falls is un-tiered, i.e., it drops directly and does not stream on to rocks. Thus, it can be described as the highest un-tiered waterfalls in India
Murudeshwar Shiva Temple - World's second tallest statue of Shiva
Located in Karnataka, this magnificent shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple boasts of the second highest statue of Lord Shiva in the world, and the sheer magnanimity of the statue will fill you with a sense of awe. This temple is built on the Kanduka Hill which is surrounded by the Arabian Sea on three sides. The main temple's entrance, also called the 'gopura' stands at 123 feet and you can witness the breathtaking view of the Shiva statue from the top of the gopura. The entire surface of this temple is covered in the most intricate and detailed carvings that you will ever see. The compound of the temple has been modernized except the sanctum sanctorum, which retains its original form. The main deity of the temple is the Sri Mridesa Linga, which is believed to be a part of the original Atma Linga. The Shiva statue here is quite an impressive one and will surely leave you with a humble sense of tranquillity. This magnificent statue is a perfect tribute to a God who is held in high reverence in lands far and wide.

Reaches Honnavar ine the Morning and travel towards the jog falls. By Public Bus breakfast on the way we will enjoy the scenic beauty of ghats & hanging bridge. Reach Jog falls check-in homestay & after fresh up and enjoy a scenic view of falls from viewpoint Post Lunch Visit the Padmavati temple, located deep inside the forest. Overnight stay at a homestay.

Get up early if you want to enjoy the morning mist of the Sharavathi region. We can go for a walk around the village and explore the unseen trails. Have breakfast and then bid goodbye to our caretakers. Reach Murudeshwar and see the second tallest statue of Lord Shiva. It looks magnificent with the roaring sea in the background. Post lunch travel towards station & Catch NETHRAVATHI EXP (16346) @ 01:00 am (14th July), Overnight train Journey.
