Backbends are often associated with flexibility, but true depth in these poses comes from a strong and engaged back. In this workshop, you will:
-Learn key techniques to strengthen the muscles of the back, supporting a deeper and safer backbend practice.
-Explore the relationship between stability in the back body and openness in the front body.
-Develop a deeper understanding of your own mindset towards backbending
-Practice a variety of backbends, from foundational poses to more advanced variations
-Experience the feeling of trusting your own strength and body to take you places that might feel unatural at first
-Whether you are new to backbends or looking to refine your practice, this workshop will provide you with the tools to deepen your backbends by harnessing the strength of your back. Come prepared to strengthen, open, and explore your body!

About me :
Hi there! I'm Stine Brosche , the founder and previous owner of Joy Yoga, which I opened in 2015 after spending years teaching yoga full-time across various studios and gyms in Norway.
I could go on about all the places I’ve taught or how much I’ve taught, but what’s more meaningful to me is that I have a deep passion for yoga, both to practice and to share the practice.
My journey with yoga has seen me through so many phases of life—from being that clumsy beginner with little body awareness, to mastering very challenging poses, to navigating pregnancies, raising children, and weathering life’s ups and downs. Each stage has taught me something new, humbling and shaping me into the teacher I am today.
In my classes, I strive to keep the practice light, playful, and curious, while always honoring individuality.
My goal is to help others find joy in their own practice, no matter where they are on their journey.
I really am so exited to come back "home" to Joy and teach again, seeing hopefully some old and new faces♥️
