About this Event
You are invited to join the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Upsilon Lambda Omega Chapter and the Pearls of the Ivy Foundation, as we go back to the Harlem Renaissance with a night of music! This event will be an ode to the Cotton Club and Roaring 20's, featuring live entertainment from two singers, a spoken word artist, music and dancing.
Event Information: This event will be hosted in-person at Methodist Charlton Medical Center's Auditorium (3500 W. Wheatland Rd, Dallas, TX 75237). Guests in attendance will be seated at tables, and are invited to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages; light appetizers will also be provided.
Attire: Guests are asked to dress in Harlem Renaissance, Cotton Club, Great Gatsby, or Roaring 1920's themed attire.
Requested Donations: This event is free, but guests are asked to bring donations of healthy snacks for teens, which will be donated to the five high school band booster clubs throughout the southern sector of Dallas. Requested snacks include: Fruit snacks, popcorn, healthy chips (i.e., Sunchips, Pop Chips, Cheez-Its), fruit cups, and granola bars.
Vaccination Requirements: All attendees must be fully vaccinated (meaning at least two weeks have elapsed since the final required dose of the type of vaccination received (i.e., second dose of Moderna/Pfizer or single dose of Johnson & Johnson), complete the AKA Corporate Office COVID-19 Waiver Form, and have their temperature checked and show proof of vaccination upon arrival at the event. Guests will be asked to wear a mask at all times (unless actively eating or drinking) and follow other COVID-19 protocols.
