Beyond the market, there will be zine-making and drop-in writing groups with local authors. Discover cozy nooks in our historic library, perfect for curling up with a new find.
Enjoy a cup of tea or a sweet snack from a local vendor as you dive into free hands-on crafts like bookmark-making, zine creation, and other activities designed for all ages.
All ticket proceeds support the Mechanics’ Hall Library Programming & Collection.

$5 for Mechanics’ Hall Members, $10 for General Admission, children under 5 are free

Are you a maker of handmade zines, whimsical objects, or literary crafts? We’d love to have you participate. Request to be a vendor . Please note that there is a limited number of booths; vendors will be accepted on a rolling basis. There is no booth fee.
PARKING & TRANSPORTATION
Mechanics’ Hall is located at 519 Congress Street. Our main entrance is between Loquat Shop and the Art Mart. The Greater Portland Metro’s Congress & Casco Street Stop is directly in front of our building, served by route 1, 7, 8, and 9B.
Parking is available at the , which has entrances on Casco and Brown Street, with a rate of $5 per hour. Metered street parking is available on Congress, Casco, Cumberland, Free Street, and other nearby streets. Free hourly street parking is available between Parris and Alder Street.
ACCESSIBILITY
To enter our building, patrons will need to navigate a single step. There is a wheelchair-accessible elevator and a ramp available upon request.
