The Kokomo Rescue Mission is once again offering our Back to School Assistance Program, where we give NEW shoes, NEW socks, and NEW undergarments to income-qualifying families with students 5-18 years-old entering K-12 (while supplies last).Back to School Assistance runs:

*To qualify for assistance, student MUST be present & accompanied by parent/guardian. Student MUST be 5-18 years-old and entering K-12.

- Student (5-18 yrs old, entering K-12) must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian
- Photo ID and Social Security Card of parent/legal guardian
- Student’s birth certificate and Social Security Card
- Proof of income for all household members*:
• A copy of last year's IRS 1040 form
• A letter from Family Services FSSA documenting that you are approved for food stamps and date approved
• Show a food stamp card along with a grocery receipt that is less than 30 days old. The receipt must show an EBT F/S purchase in the last 30 days with a remaining balance.
• A recent award letter from TANF, SSI or SSDI. These letters may be obtained at the appropriate agency.
• If you live in subsidized housing (you receive assistance with paying your rent) you MUST show a copy of your lease or the most recent re-certification letter.
*Kokomo Rescue Mission reserves the right to ask for expense accountability.
