A 4 part Series: Join 1 or All! Whether you are brand new to yoga or looking to refine your practice, this four class series is designed to bring everyone back to basics. Over these 90 minute classes, we'll explore foundational yoga poses, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices that build strength, balance, and flexibility. Each class introduces essential postures with clear alignment cues, modifications, and options for all levels, creating a supportive environment to deepen body awareness and confidence on the mat.
From grounding techniques to gentle flows to beginner-friendly inversions and twists, this series offers a comprehensive journey through the essentials of yoga. Join us to rediscover the fundamentals, cultivate relaxation, and develop skills that can be applied both on and off the mat. Perfect for those beginning their practice, as well as seasoned yogis seeking a mindful return to the foundations of yoga. Hands on assists and a dedicated Q&A session in each class will be offered for a personalized experience.
Week 1: Yoga 101
Begin your yoga journey by building a strong foundation. This class addresses the questions: what is yoga and what are the benefits of this practice. We will introduce essential postures, breathing techniques, and alignment basics to connect breath with movement and increase body awareness. Perfect for establishing confidence and comfort on the mat. Personalized support will be provided with hands-on assists, and a Q&A and reflection period offers space for new insights and refinement for existing students.
Week 2: Balance and Stability
Develop strength and stability with standing poses and balancing work. This session focuses on grounding techniques and core engagement, with modifications for all levels, helping you find both physical and mental balance. Hands on assists will be offered for support, followed by a closing Q&A and reflection period to discuss insights and progress.
Week 3: Flexibility and Flow
Explore gentle flow sequences that link breath to movement, promoting flexibility and ease. We'll work on smooth transitions and stretches to release tension, creating a sense of flow that supports flexibility in both the body and mind. Individualized guidance, hands on assists, and a closing Q&A and reflection provide space for refinement and growth.
Week 4: Introduction to Inversions and Twists
Safely experience beginner-friendly inversions and twists to encourage fresh perspectives and spinal mobility. This final class builds confidence through gentle inversions and twists that rejuvenate and refresh. Hands on assists and a final Q&A and reflection offer personalized support, allowing new and existing students to celebrate their progress and refine their skills.
