New Year, new you! To kick off the start of 2026, the Dance Friends will be offering a comprehensive 4 week Swing workshop series taking you all back to the basics of dance!
This will be MUCH MORE than just a "beginner lesson" series: It'll be a ground up re-establishment of your Partner dancing fundamentals as well as an effective introduction to the standards of Lindy and Swing.
- Week 1 will cover the 6 count step pattern which will be baseline for the rest of your Swing repertoire
- Week 2 will expand on that foundation with turns, passes, and rotations
- Week 3 we'll bring in the more advanced 8 count pattern to broaden and invigorate your previous steps
- Finally week 4 will finish with the flashy stuff to make your friends drop their jaws with ease!
All the while in these lessons we'll cover LOTS of subjects necessary to your partner dancing foundation including:
- Posture
- Connection
- Tension and Compression
- Safety
- Leadership and Followship philosophy
- Dance Floor Etiquette
- Much more!

Dates: Every Wednesday from Jan 21st to Feb 11th
Time: 8 - 9:30pm
1st hour will be the lesson, and the last half hour will be a chance to practice open dancing with the rest of the participants in the class
