Back to Basics is a comprehensive, relationship-focused training course designed to help you build a confident dog and the skills to handle real-life situations with ease. This is not a quick-fix obedience class, it’s a thoughtfully structured program that teaches you how to understand, communicate with, and train your dog in a way that lasts well beyond the course.
This course is suitable for puppies from 8 weeks of age through to adult dogs. Training is adapted to the age, stage, and individual needs of each dog.
Over eight weeks, we work through foundational skills, play, engagement, exposure, and real-world reliability, giving you practical tools to build a dog you can live with, travel with, and take into everyday environments.
To ensure quality coaching and individual support, the course is capped at just 8 participants per term, with multiple experienced trainers present each week. This allows for genuine one-on-one guidance within a supportive group environment.
Training is practical, progressive, and designed to translate into real life, not just the training field.

Ongoing support is included through access to the Private EpicDog Community Facebook Page, with class recaps, photos, videos, and shared learning.
