Join us for the exciting Back the Blue K-9 1 Mile Run/Walk on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in the vibrant downtown of Pickens! This much-anticipated event, now in its fourth year, welcomes both runners and walkers, as well as those who want to participate alongside their furry friends. With an engaging atmosphere and a sense of community, the race will kick off in front of the 1st Baptist Church and finish at The Open Door, making it a fun outing for everyone involved.Participants can look forward to awards for the top three male and female runners, as well as the top five runners with dogs, regardless of gender. A special recognition will also be given to the first First Responder crossing the finish line in uniform. Age group awards will be distributed at 10-year intervals, and every participant will receive a finisher medal! Don't forget to bring your well-behaved dog to join in the festivities. Enjoy live music from The Jaguar 4 and support a great cause, as all proceeds will benefit The Hiding Place.
